THE GREAT DEBATE: IS JUICE GREATER THAN CHEESEBURGERS?

As we make decisions day in and day out on what we're going to eat for lunch or dinner, we are always enticed, by what seems, with a fast food joint on every corner. It's fast, convenient, delicious, but is it a true healthy decision?

Cheeseburgers, in particular, contribute to weight gain and have other harmful effects on your health. For instance, if over consumed, you can gain weight by ingesting more calories than you can burn throughout the day. And since burgers can be a high-calorie food, along with those onion rings or french fries, we're looking at a meal that is way over the 1,000 calorie mark.

Along with weight gain, you can experience heart and blood pressure issues. Burgers can be high in dietary cholesterol, saturate fat, and sodium. Dietary cholesterol and saturated fat can raise the levels of cholesterol in your blood and increase your risk for heart disease. While being high in sodium, burgers can lead to high blood pressure and can also cause an increased risk for heart disease, stroke and kidney disease. Healthy adults should consume no more than 2,300 milligrams of sodium per day. By eating a double cheeseburger with mayo, you could be consuming as much as 1,100 milligrams of sodium. Almost half of your daily limit.

Now you're probably asking, well what is my healthy alternative? I need a quick lunch on-the-go.
